About NBUF

PRINCIPLES OF UNITY

  1. To struggle for self-determination, liberation and power for Black people in the United States.

  2. To work in unity and common struggle with African liberation movements and African people throughout the world.

  3. To build a politically conscious, unified, committed and effective Black mass movement.

Vision

The "Black United Front" is an organization made up of concerned and committed individuals and organizations who have united to assume responsibility for working and leading the struggle for a better life for themselves and their children. The Black United Front is a broad-based organization which includes all social, political, religious and cultural sections of the Black community.

  •  Mutual respect for all participating organizations and persons, including genuine respect for differences, and yet principled struggle to promote maximum unity and cooperation within that diversity

  • Collective work and responsibility in all activities.

  •  Prohibition of character assassination within and outside of NBUF, while encouraging constructive criticism and self-criticism.

Principles of Cooperation

“The issue of reparations being due, no matter how they tie it up in bureaucracy and how the nations of the world don’t support the U.N. Working Group call for reparations. The issue is never going to go away. You cannot murder millions of people whose bodies are on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean today, and have transporting them in the slave trade—reducing them to property in a white supremacist system. This is never going away. They owe us!”

— Dr. Conrad Worrill
